| Day 02 | Fly to Bahir Dar & Sightseeing (Lake Tana & Blue Nile Falls) Catch a morning flight to Bahir Dar and transfer to your reserved lodge/hotel. After check-in and breakfast, take a boat cruise on the beautiful highland Lake Tana and visit a thatched-roof monastery known for its distinctive colorful frescoes of religious scenes and old manuscripts. | Day 04 | Day Trip to Simien Mountains National Park Drive to the jagged panorama of the Simien Mountains National Park, famed for its exclusive landscape, afro-alpine vegetation, and unique wildlife, including the endemic Wallia Ibex, Gelada Baboon troops, Bushbuck, and Klipspringer. | Day 05 | Fly to Lalibela & Visit the Rock-Hewn Churches Transfer to the airport in the morning and fly to Lalibela, then transfer to the hotel for an excursion to the first group of the magnificent rock-hewn churches, carved from living volcanic tuff and registered by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. | Day 06 | Fly to Semera via Addis Ababa In the morning, visit the second group of the rock-hewn churches: Bete Emanuel, architecturally the finest, and Bete Giorgis, considered the finest of all Lalibela's churches for its extraordinary carved perfection. | Day 07 | Drive Semera to Hamedela Meet with the crew in the morning to start the Danakil expedition — a supporting vehicle with cook, scout, and militia is required to enter this area. Drive to the bottom of Hamedela with a picnic lunch en route at Afdera, or stop at a local restaurant for local food. Continue to the Hamedela campsite, then on to Dallol, the lowest area of the Depression at below 116 meters below sea level, to enjoy the sunset over the salty lakes before returning to Hamedela for the night. | Camping — Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner |
| Day 08 | Drive to Erta Ale via Dallol After an early breakfast, drive back to Dallol to see salt miners breaking brick salt and loading it onto camels, along with the colorful sulphur formations of the daytime landscape and, if fortunate, the long camel caravans distributing salt to the city. Continue to the Erta Ale area, where trekking begins in the evening to avoid the heat — camels transport camping materials, food, and water to the rim of this permanent lava lake volcano, spanning a 30 km base and a 1 km square caldera, for an overnight stay. | Camping — Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner |
| Day 09 | Drive Back to Semera via Afdera & Fly Back to Addis After breakfast at the Erta Ale campsite, drive back to Semera via Afdera, with the option of an unforgettable swim at Lake Afdera along the way, plus a picnic lunch at a local restaurant.
